About Hector's World™
Keeping children safe online is the main objective of Hector’s World™ Limited (HWL). HWL is a charity and a subsidiary of NetSafe, a non-profit body that educates New Zealanders about responsible use of information and communication technology.
Hector’s World™ has come to Australia with the permission of our friends at HWL. ACMA is pleased to be the first education partner in the southern hemisphere to introduce the Hector’s World educational resources to Australian children.
The core content of Hector’s World™ material features high quality 2-D animation with fun and engaging characters. Children can observe the characters as they learn how to stay safe online. The experiences of Hector and his friends offer children practical guidance on managing risks and reinforce the importance of responsible online behaviour.
